Google is testing for a new layout for its search options, these days.
The various search options which usually appear on the left hand column of search results page are now appearing above the search results.
The various options like Web, Images, Maps, Videos etc. are same as previous. The drop-down format and the sub-menus are exactly same as before.
By changing the search option layout – Is Google is planning to incorporate something on the left hand column? May be to promote Google+, or something else.
Google has also tested this layout in the month of June. Google has a past record of testing newer layouts and user interfaces, but not making public. Let’s see, when Google is making this changes go live for everyone.
Do you think – Changing the search options position will help searchers in any way?
